Weekend Run Plan, April 21-24

Posted by Alison, Club Secretary on 20 April 2011

Greetings Flyers!

Only two more days until the weekend and it's time to get ready for the next Seoul Flyers Time Trial!  Join us this weekend for a free, fun race with prizes!

On Sunday, Elmer and Brad will be completing the Tour de Korea.  The last stage of this event takes place in Seoul.  If you are interested in watching check out Stage 9 for the 'Special' course here: http://www.tourdekorea.or.kr/.  They are expected to be in Olympic Park around 11:05am to complete the race.

Still don't have a Seoul Flyers shirt?  All official members, one is waiting for you.  Please contact Sun to arrange to pick one up in the Ichon or Jamsil area (suntbae@hotmail.com 010-4589-0825).

Thursday April 21, 6pm

Come out for a lap or two around Namsan this Thursday. Namsan can be intimidating, so if you are just starting out, consider making it a hills/intervals night! You can run two lampposts, walk one on your way up the hill and you will be at the top before you know it!  Hill training is a great way to get physically and mentally race-ready.

If you know where the buses park at the top of the mountain (about 200 meters short of the tower), be there at 6pm to start the run. There is NO place to store belongings at the top, but there are lockers available for 1500 won at Noksapyeong Station (the nearest subway station). You can also reach the mountain easily from Myeong-dong Station on line 4.  Check out the map

Saturday April 23, 10am

Join us Saturday morning for a 10 km Time Trial run along the Han!  Please meet by the river, near Ichon Station by 9:40am.  If you haven't done so already, please post your date of birth on the Facebook event page, or email it to us if you plan to attend. Please wear your Seoul Flyers shirt to help represent the club!  Check out the map below and look for the Seoul Flyers flags near to the 7-11 along the river:

Our membership is growing and our runners are getting stronger. Join the fun and sign up today!

Happy running!

Common sense time: Your trusty Seoul Flyers club officers do everything they can to make sure you have a great time on weekend runs and at races.  However, you are responsible for your own health. If something is hurting, listen to your body, rest, and if necessary, go see a doctor.
